Important Notice for HikCentral Professional (HCP) Users
Microsoft has released the Windows 11 25H2 update. Hikvision has identified a compatibility issue that may affect certain versions of HikCentral Professional (HCP) after upgrading the Windows operating system and restarting the server.
What is the Issue?
Windows 11 25H2 has removed the WMIC (Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line) component.
HikCentral Professional versions earlier than 2.6.3 rely on WMIC to retrieve server hardware information. As a result, these versions may not function properly after the server is upgraded to Windows 11 25H2 and restarted.
Affected HCP Versions
HCP versions earlier than 2.6.3
If your HCP version is earlier than 2.6.3, do not upgrade the server to Windows 11 25H2 until compatibility has been confirmed.
Before Upgrading to Windows 11 25H2
If you are planning to upgrade your HCP server to Windows 11 25H2:
- Check your current HCP version.
- If your HCP version is earlier than 2.6.3, do not proceed with the Windows 11 25H2 upgrade.
If You Have Already Upgraded to Windows 11 25H2
If you have already upgraded your server to Windows 11 25H2 and restarted the system, but HikCentral Professional is no longer functioning properly, please provide your vendor with:
- HCP Version
Example:3.1.0.20260129 - Whether Software Upgrade is set to Enabled
The vendor should be able to assist in checking the compatibility issue and determining the appropriate solution.

Important
Please do not perform the Windows 11 25H2 upgrade on an HCP server before compatibility has been confirmed, particularly if you are running an HCP version earlier than 2.6.3.
If you are unsure which HCP version you are using or need assistance before upgrading Windows, please contact your vendor for support.
